Kenneth W. Scott, 92, Of Teaneck

TEANECK, N.J. – Kenneth W. Scott, 92, died Nov. 28. 

He was born Aug. 23, 1923, in Perth Amboy, to the late Fenby Scott and Marie (Jesberger) Scott. 

He graduated with a B.A. from Queens College and an M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University. He was a professor of English at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus for 38 years. He wrote "Zane Grey, Born to the West: A Reference Guide" (1979), as well as articles and reviews for literary and film appreciation publications.

He is survived by a daughter, Tracy Scott and partner Robin Rosenbluth of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a son Terence Scott and wife Janet of Ho-Ho-Kus; and a son Craig Scott of Ridgefield Park; and grandchildren Rachel Scott-Rosenbluth; Jesse Scott-Rosenbluth; and Brittany Scott.

He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Cynthia, and by his sister, Nadine Jelley. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N. Main St., Lodi. Private cremation to follow.
